Open PhD Positions:

I am currently seeking students interested in working at the intersection of Quantum information Science and Theoretical Computer Science.
Knowledge of quantum mechanics is not required but helpful at the beginning. However it will play a key role in your research later. Having some background in algorithms will be useful.
More importantly you should have a strong interest in discrete mathematics , linear algebra , probability theory , computational complexity and algorithm design etc.
Although theory is the major focus of my research; there will be many opportunities to perform experiments either via simulations or running on actual quantum hardware.
Some of the topics I am currently working on include Quantum Walks, Circuit Synthesis, Quantum algorithm design and Tomography.
